The Stone

Black agate, near black and polished to a gloss. The handles are irregular slabs with a chipped outline.

Craftsmanship

Each handle is black agate, held in an electroformed metal band that is scalloped along its inner edge where it grips the stone. The metal is bonded to the stone rather than painted or plated, so there is nothing on it to chip, flake or peel. The blade, the spreader and the fork are stainless steel. Choose gold or silver when you add it to your bag.
